and say,

"I'm proud of what I am and who I am, and I'm just going to be myself."”

I'm not sure what this chap is doing, but it looks a bit of a strain, if his face is anything to go by..!

Poor guy! It must be something heavy.
I like the quote.

The "strong man" is actually our son in law Chris. The photo was taken at an Open Day at the local fire brigade about 11 years ago. (guess who's been raiding the photo albums and doing some scanning). The contest on this particular stand was to pick up as many bricks as you can.

I think the quote epitomises you, dear Ruth...for you have a great inner strength.

But seriously, A Wildlife G. has it spot on.
So when is your next European tour, Ruth!! And do you need a guitarist? Or just more firemen?

I didn't until I was about 50....then a huge change took place. Battleaxe would be a good description!

Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
