No wonder I struggle sometimes to come up with a post!! Yes I do love books of all kinds....I'd had a couple of years off from reading but making up for it again now.

A good book sounds good on a rainy day like today!

I love to read and do so each night in bed before I turn the light out and go to sleep. They put me to sleep.

I didn't do much today but...

I did write about how people used to wear long underwear over winter or until we began to stink. You can find the link at the bottom of the post today.

I couldn't live without books. I've learned so much from them, and been entertained so much by them too.

Reading your post today reminded me of a couple I know who bought lots and lots of books just to decorate their bookshelves. They never read one.

Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
