So true Ruth.

For some reason banans do not agree with me! Yet I do like them.

A very true quote Ruth! I love banana's! For me they are at their best not much longer after this shot you have taken! :o)

Ruth, love the quote! I agree with talj. They are a little too green now but will be at their best real soon. I hate over ripe fruit!

I love bananas! And they are so high in potassium! This is a lovely photo, Ruth and so true a quote!

(Over ripe ones are wonderful for Banana Bread)

we love banana bread too....if these had been over ripe would have made one for this weekend. Whe I used to be able to get to the market I'd buy over ripe ones REALLY cheap just to make it.

I agree with Talj and dot. Denise.. it seems if they are too ripe they cause digestive upset. Eat them immediately they ripen, before brown spots appear on the skin, and they might not upset you.
Excellnt quote.. Ruth BTW..xx

Now I like my bananas on the green side!!!!

Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
