Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Ain't that the truth.!!
This looks like a nice spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
So very true!!!
Love that seat!
Very moving Ruth {{{hugs}}}xx
It looks a bit empty without a Dad on it! Where has he gone?
It is nearly 30 years since my Dad died but I still think of him every day.
Oh, what a lovely bench and what a great saying! It's so true, Ruth.

Sadly Mick can no longer sit on his special bench as we can't transfer him from the wheelchair also he would be unable to sit unsupported on it. I keep it warm for him though and much of my potting up and seed sowing is done when I sit there.
I've been thinking about memorials that can be installed in honor of ones we love. This would be a great memorial to anyone's living or not dad. The designer had a great idea here.
Beautiful.....
So much more than a picture of a
beautifully crafted bench, more than a very true quote, its a wonderful, and loving story come together amid the fragant flowers.
So true, so true! Just a shame more of them don't make the effort cos they are so missing out!
