Computers are magnificent tools for the realization of our dreams,

but no machine can replace the human spark of spirit,

compassion, love, and understanding.

I think there are efforts to create machines to replace our human spark - or to mimic it so perfectly that it seems replaced. Awful, huh?

Hi Ruth

Was just thinking how even in these modern times computers will never replace human stupidity LOL

I used to own my own IT business and I reckon I've seen much human stupidity in action.

I must be the world's worse commenter. lol

Sometimes I just can't come up with anything so this is just to let you know I was here.

That's so true. But was it written to reassure ourselves?? ;-) Have a good Sunday.

Computers are wonderful inventions - through them I am able to talk to my family in Canada every day and have made some wonderful friends via the internet. I even met my husband online! I do wholeheartedly agree, however, that they cannot make up for the touch of a hand, a warm and loving look, a real hug from a loved one... but they help!

They are great as long as they work!

For comfort nothing beats the human touch.

I view mine as a tool.....but what a tool! Best present I ever had. Next my sewing machine, next my ploytunnel. But the computer is tops. Doesn't matter that it isn't hman. It mirrors me instead. Each person uses theirs how they need to and that is the joy of them. The JOY of them. I love mine!

And above all, possibly the best thing in life, the simple joy of good company, in 3-D!!!

Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
