Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

A lovely photo and such a true quote Ruth {{{HUGS}}} to you xxx
True quote!
Beautiful tulips!!
But when it is a magic carpet ride, like it occasionally can be, then fasten your seat belt and soar, clutching on to those tulips!
It's not is it. But if I may answer your quote with another...?
This old world that we're livin' in
Is might hard to beat.
You get a thorn with every Rose
But - ain't the roses sweet?

Not every day....but mostly! Except for a bad back!
I've been tiptoeing through my tulips in hopes they keep on blooming for a while longer.
Someone wrote in my autograph book when I was a child...Some like the tulips that grow in the park but I like the tu lips that meet in the dark! How silly!
Those are such a beautiful color!
