Now this is an interesting capture, Ruth. And a spot-on quote from Nat too. You know I'm moving tomorrow? Well, of course I've gone down sick with the most terrible, debilitating cold, haven't I? What next???
Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Madeleine has a noticeable (and eye catching) birth defect in her right eye pupil - not obvious in this picture. It looks like the black of her pupil has run into the rest of her eye - like a tear drop.

Beautiful photo!
Thanks for the reminder! The butterflies in the garden always make me slow down as they are so graceful and quiet.
The colours in this are fabulous. What a great photo Ruth.
Very tranquil, and the quote really sums it up.

Thanks; I love butterflies and this photo was taken last summer; looking forward to seeing butterflies again here once the winter is over.
Love that blue!
Do you have a zoom lens...or do you crouch? I can't seem to stay steady enough for floor shots these days!
Lovely image and colours and as always a great quote!! :o)
