Tenderness contains an element of sadness. It is not the sadness of feeling sorry for yourself or feeling deprived, but it is a natural situation of fullness. You feel so full and rich, as if you were about to shed tears. Your eyes are full of tears, and the moment you blink, the tears will spill out of your eyes and roll down your cheeks. In order to be a good warrior, one has to feel this sad and tender heart. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

So true! Good choice of quote to go with your picture.
That wood almost looks alive!!!
We picked it up from a beach in Kent; we think it looks like a dog and often quip, "I wonder if it will BARK"....lol
Wow I love that - It would be great for flower arranging - I can never find any to use when I look.
It does look like it might come to life at any moment.
The quote goes very well with your photo..
Another beautiful picture, it does so look like a dog, Ive seen some wonderful sculptures done in driftwood, must post them one day.
Your photo a day is beginning to become one of those things that I wait in eager anticipation for...more, more, more
